Learn what vaccines Health Canada recommends you get as you age to protect you from preventable diseases. Jeanette McMillan, RN, of Immunize Now, is giving a presentation on suggested vaccines for older adults. It will highlight these common vaccines:
- Shingles
- Tetanus and diphtheria
- COVID-19
- Pneumonia
- Influenza (flu)
Find out why each vaccine is recommended, including how you would catch the disease, how the disease is spread, where to get the vaccine, how much it costs, how it provides immunization, possible side effects and potential risks if you don’t get the vaccine. Jeanette will also answer your questions.
This is a free event organized by the SRC, and hosted at the Metchosin Community House. No registration is required.
